The Ivy League were an English vocal trio, created in 1964, who enjoyed two Top 10 hit singles in the UK Singles Chart in 1965. The Ivy League was an English vocal trio from the mid sixties who played melodious harmony pop music. Furthermore, the three team members all the talent to write good catchy pop, and many of their songs have been hits for other groups. Actually John Carter and Ken Lewis of the group more interested in writing music than performing, but different circumstances made the two in the group for about three years. Last group member John Perry felt much better with performing and he continued with various lineups the group until 1975. 1965 was the big year for The Ivy League with two toptwenty hits, and the release of their first album and only time would show. Their music is very akin to a second partially forgotten group from the mid sixties, namely, The Rocking Berries, who also recorded a very fine version of one of The Ivy League s big hits.
