Arnauds French 75 Bar, New Orleans, LA Bucket List Bars
In 1918 the customers of a vivacious wine merchant named Arnaud Cazenavewho nicknamed himself, Count Arnaudbet the man that even he, as popular and outgoing as he was, couldn t be successful in the restaurant and bar business. To prove them wrong he immediately opened his very own restaurant and bar (named after him, of course) and began a legacy. Almost 100 years later Arnaud s is the largest restaurant in New Orleans. We visited to see their barstwo of them to be exact. The Richelieu Bar, where Arnaud served spiked coffee to his friends and customers during prohibition, and the French 75 Bar, a centerpiece in New Orleans craft cocktail movement.
