26yearold actor JonErik Hexum died on October 18, 1984, nearly a week after accidentally shooting himself with a blank gun on the set of his CBS series, Cover Up. But thanks to his generosity in life and that of his family, his tragic story had a positive impact on the lives of many others, in the form of organ donations.
