How Putins Spokesman Sent His Son to Fight as a Mercenary in Wagner Group
Evgeny Prigozhin, the founder and leader of the notorious private military company Wagner, has revealed that the son of Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, served as a simple gunner in his mercenary group. In an interview with Russian military correspondents, Prigozhin said that Peskov personally asked him to take his son, Nikolay, who had spent part of his life in America or England, as a regular soldier. Prigozhin claimed that he accepted Nikolay under a false name and that he served like anyone else, kneedeep in mud and shit. Prigozhin praised Nikolay s courage and heroism during his threeweek training in Wagner s assault units. He did not specify where or when Nikolay served, or what kind of missions he participated in.
