Unissued, unused material. Bomb site in London after V1 rocket (aka buzz bomb, doodlebug) raid. Various shots civil defence workers clearing rubble from bombed block of flats. A man is helped to safety. M, S car, crushed under rubble. A dead body is removed on a stretcher. A man with a bandaged eye is carried away on a stretcher. More shots of rescuers, American military police are amongst them. More injured are helped out of ruins. C, U policeman covered in dust. L, S fire brigade boat on River Thames, directing hose at blaze. Pan to show source of fire a railway bridge, possibly Hungerford Bridge M, S rescue workers and boy looking at pieces of shrapnel.
