Queen Mother steps up to the microphone and makes speech (natural sound): It was to mark the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Air Force that the King in 1943 gave his approval and he awarded a standard to every squadron that had completed twenty five years service. I know that it was his wish that my squadron, No. 600, should come to Buckingham Palace, to receive their standard. I am very mindful too of the care and the craftsmanship of the ground crew, for in a new field of engineering they have never failed in the services upon which the safety of their pilots depends.
