Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK) Created in 1996, is Germany s premier military special operations force, primarily designed to conduct counterterrorist operations, surveillance and reconnaissance tasks deep behind enemy lines, hostage rescue operations abroad, deep penetration raids and sometimes even peace keeping missions.
