JASDF 三菱 F 1, Mitsubishi F 1 Support Fighter, NINA Beyond Memory
This is the first jet fighter developed independently by Japan. A support fighter to replace the F86F. The F1 support fighter is a model developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries based on the T2 trainer. The prototype was developed on a T2 training aircraft FST2 Kai, and on June 3, 1975, it flew for the first time. While inheriting the performance of the T2, the first supersonic aircraft developed by Japan The 708201, which became the first massproduced aircraft, made its first flight on Thursday, June 16, 1977. Deployed to the 3rd and 8th Squadrons of the 3rd Air Wing located at Misawa Air Base, and the 6th Squadron of the 8th Air Wing located at Tsuiki Air Base. This model completed its last flight on March 9, 2006 (Thursday) and passed the baton to the F2 fighter, which was also developed in Japan. Up to 77 F1 aircraft were operated by the Air SelfDefense Force before retirement.
