Unused, unissued footage dates and locations unclear, unknown. Oakham, Leicestershire (formerly Rutland) 1947. Short general shots of the town of Oakham. A police band leads a procession of RAF men carrying rifles down the crowd lined street followed by a small group of Brownies and floats depicting historical scenes. Signs on the front of the floats read Fight For Rutland s Independence. A Huntsman with a pack of hounds follows. General shots of people milling about a display ground where the floats are gathered. A little historical scene is acted out by costumed people on a float.
