Interned Marines In Holland (1914 1918)
Interned (German ) Marines in Holland, Netherlands. World War One. MS several men doing kitchen food preparation work: grating cabbage w, pile of cabbages in FG Men coming out of a building carrying steaming pots pans. Walking toward camera; 2 men carrying a pot between them; while others crowd around; the guys are cracking up; sticking spoons into pot etc. Men pile up clothing; wash it in buckets. Laundry. Military review in a large square; soldiers march past large building like palace. Looks like multinational parade. Some of the flags look Italian ( ). Brief shot from another story possibly line of volunteers crowded line on pavement (in London ). Back to previous scene in square. CU group of men in shirtsleeves; vests; cloth caps sit around a blanket eating like a picnic.
