Letters Live from the Archive: International Womens Day Olivia Colman, Gillian Anderson + more
Every year International Womens Day on March 8th provides an opportunity to shine a light on the continuing global fight for gender equality, whilst also celebrating the innumerable achievements of this vast, marginalised percentage of the population. In the years since Letters Live began, talented performers have been breathing life into countless pieces of correspondence by women, to women, about women letters overflowing with wisdom, fury, love, and humour. These are some of our favourites, featuring Olivia Colman, Gillian Anderson, Daisy Ridley, Adwoa Aboah, Caitlin Moran, Jordan Stephens and many more incredible performers. Letters Live have produced 3 shows on International Womens Day over the years. In fact, the last Letters Live production shortly before the pandemic hit took place on March 8th, 2020 to close the 10th anniversary of the Women of the World Festival at the Southbank Centre, London.
