Stanley Baldwin visits home for elderly actors. Location of events unknown. Outside a home for elderly actors ( ), a man stands on the steps and thanks Stanley Baldwin and woman for their visit. He presents the man with a pipe on a silver tray. The visiting couple then stand on the steps and shake hands with a succession of wellknown actors and actresses of the day: Lady Du Maurier, Miss Beaumont, Herbert Marshall, Irene Vanbrugh, Frank Lawton, Annie Saker, Jean Forbes Robertson, Harry Amley. M, S of Harry Amley talking to Irene Vanbrugh, saying that this has been a wonderful day, not only for their calling in general but the profession but for this home in particular. Stanley Baldwin thanks the gathering for the opportunity of seeing this home. He talks of the older actors there, who have contributed to the happiness and amusement of people up and down the British Isles, and mentions falling for people on the stage in his younger days.
