GV. England with dark shirts kick off and gain a free kick for obstruction. It is quickly taken and game gets under way. SV. German reserves and officials watching as Germany swing into attack. SCU Germans combine nicely, outside left is cleaned through but Bert Williams throws himself at Beck s feet averting almost certain goal. SCU Crowd reacting. GV England moving the ball towards German goal. SCU English footballer (possibly Bill Slater) running through with ball, he shoots. SV Slow motion, Fritz Herkenrath, goalkeeper, diving through the air as the ball goes just past the post. CU German officials watching as Stanley Matthews receives ball.
