1 2 4 Drum kit fill, pattern tutorial drumming lesson for Rock, Funk Samba

Another fave drum practice idea that really helps me playing grooves. It s a fill or a pattern based around the 1 + 2 + 4 beats of an 8th note rhythm. Played simply with a single stroke roll right left sticking. There are accented notes on the 1 + 2 + 4 this is also known as the Mambo or Baiao beat and is also happens to be the first bar of a 3:2 clave pattern. The 1 starts on the mid tom. The 2 on the high tom. The 4 on the floor tom. All the other notes are played softly on the snare.
