Preisner s Lacrimosa sung by Melodie Spencer, 15 years old, of Albany, Georgia during the final gala performance, entitled Songs of Innocence and Experience, of the Fine Arts Summer Academy under the direction and founded and created by the Annie Moses Band. For more info on this summer program: Melodie began violin lessons at age 7. Through the Fine Arts Summer Academy she played in masterclasses with Stephen Clapp of Juilliard at age 8 and 10, Brian Lewis, of the University of Texas, at age 9 and Timothy Lees of the Cincinnati Symphony at 15. After beginning studies with Sonja Foster of Atlanta at age 10, she has won or been a finalist or achieved acceptance into several competitions both in the Atlanta area and beyond such as the Blount National Competition in Montgomery. As a result, she has soloed with the Georgia Philharmonic at age 12, as a winner of the Samuel Fordis Concerto Competition, the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra at age 13 in
