Rural Blues
December 1989, Ko de Korte and Tom Haarsma from The Netherlands, went to Mississippi searching for blues musicians playing the old rural blues. The aim was to record their music on cassette tapes, but they also had a small SuperVHS camera. The registrations took place in the homes of the musicians, sometimes in their bedroom. After visiting 18 musicians in 2 weeks they came back with a lot of audio tapes and 14 hours of video. November 2013, Ko de Korte and Dutch J den Hollander decided to edit a documentary of the footage. Seventeen musicians have died now, among them are Rule Burnside and Tmodel Ford.
