This is a project I have wanted to do for quite some time. Chris Bell was the founder of the legendary Big Star, the 1970s Memphis Power Pop band whose music became better known as Alternative Rock in the 1990s and whose influence remains far reaching. This poignant, beautiful love ballad was recorded by Bell as a solo project in the mid 70s but not released until 1978 on the tiny Car Records label shortly before his tragic death, at the age of 27, in a car crash.
