The Ninth Doctors Last Stand ( Bad Wolf, The Parting of the Ways Unreleased Music Suite)

A suite of unreleased music from the Series One finale Bad Wolf and The Parting of the Ways. I ve always thought Series One is criminally underrepresented as far as released music goes, with only a few original tracks featuring on the Series One, Two Soundtrack release (most were rerecorded). Some of the tracks featured in this suite that were rerecorded on that soundtrack are Hologram, Rose in Peril, New Adventures, and I m Coming to Get You. It s frankly one of my favourite scores of any series. Even though it used sampled instruments rather than a live orchestra (or perhaps because of that) it ended up being incredibly atmospheric and evocative. It also feels the most Doctor Who of any of the scores (lots of electronic and synth stuff popping up all over the place), effectively bridging the gap between the Keff stuff of the late 80s and the Who
