The 1970 Asbury College Revival Documentary
On February 3, 1970 all heaven broke loose during Asbury Colleges 10 a. m. chapel service. Asbury College is located in Wilmore, Kentucky. The service, a routine meeting, was scheduled for 50 minutes. Instead, it lasted 185 hours nonstop, 24 hours a day. Intermittently, it continued for weeks. Ultimately, it spread across the United States and into foreign countries. Some say it is being felt even today. On that Tuesday morning in 1970, students and faculty members had shown up at the colleges chapel, Hughes auditorium, for what they assumed would be one more routine meeting. Custer Reynolds, Asburys academic dean and a Methodist layman, was in charge. Reynolds did not preach.
