Imogene was forced to marry Ernesto, Duke of Caldora, whom she did not love, in order to save the life of her father who was being held prisoner by Ernesto. Several years later, Gualtiero and his pirate band are captured by Ernesto. Gualtiero is horrified to discover that his forme
