Nic Gareiss solo dance at IAC NYC

The fleetfooted Nic Gareiss, a Michiganborn percussive dancer with the band This Is How We Fly, performs a solo at The Irish Arts Center NYC, April 24, 2015. I believe he called this flatfooting, an old Appalachian form. But Nic is a great improvisor, blending steps styles from different traditions and his own imagination. Nic holds an MA in ethnochoreology from University of Limerick. What a treat I hope Nic returns soon to NYC. Posted with permision.
