An animation shows how oil splashed from the sump on to the cylinder walls by scoops on the ends of the connecting rods. Animations show how oil is distributed in a pressure system. Dry sump lubrication is illustrated via a graphic animation. The dipstick is pointed out. C, U of a hand pulling out the dipstick C, Us of the dipstick itself. CU of an engine, dissolve to show the sump and the gauze which covers it. Pump is shown. C, Us of hand moving the pump. C, U of parts revolving (crankshaft ). C, U of piston. Mechanic removes part of the piston and takes it off the connecting rod. Mechanic reattaches the piston to the crankshaft. C, U of screw being tightened. Mechanic lifts up the crankshaft. Pointer is used to show where the holes for oil distribution are located in the engine. Channels cut in the bearings are indicated. C, Us of bearings. Crankshaft is inserted into place within engine.
