That last high note is a does a bangup job with this tune originally made popular by Barry Manilow. The song history is interesting. Mandy was originally titled Brandy written in 1971 by Scott English and Richard Kerr. Scott English was the first to record the song and it was a huge hit in the UK. The next artist to record the song was New Zealands Bunny Walters in 1972. Barry Manilow was the third person to record the song in 1974 and it charted, 1 in the United States.
