Ready to roll Synagogue in Washington arrives on wheels to its new home
The oldest synagogue of Washington DC and the whole District rolled down the 3rd street to its new home, the site of the future Capital Jewish Museum, Wednesday. The massive platform with 12 sets of wheels carried the building one block down the street. The synagogue building will be a part of the upcoming Capital Jewish Museum that is set to open its doors in 2021. The executive director Kara Blond says the new construction will embrace the historic building connecting up the old with the new. Howeve
