Many towns in Berks County where overwhelmed with flash flooding catch people off guard. The Township of Muhlenberg had many water rescues of victims in their homes trapped due to swift rising waters and others who drove through high waters getting stuck. The Pennsylvania National Guard was called in to rescue victims via helicopter.
