Bowlback mandolin, Stick dulcimer conversion and restoration Dark Star Guitars

I took a hundred and some year old bowlback mandolin and converted it into a stick style dulcimer, mandolin hybrid. It was pretty thrashed and not worth restoring in it s original state. I altered it into a fancy stick dulcimer that would fit in at Renfest. The short scale of 19 5, 8 along with Ggdg or Ggda tuning gives it a fairly mandolinish sound with the ease of play of a dulcimer. By DarkStarGuitars br, br,
