Madeline, The Robot Tamer
In this profile, Madeline Gannon shares her work taming giant, industrial robots into collaborative companions. She demonstrates custom gesturebased software she developed in order to communicate with her big, orange robot, ABBA. Using a wearable device and motioncapture system, Gannon shows how new ways of using old technology might rewrite how humans and automation coexist.
