African Dancing Aka Native Dancing From Uganda (1955)
Uganda, East Africa. High angle shot of African tribal dancing. A large number of men dance in a circle wearing feathered headdresses. Closer shot. Narrator calls this display: an example of the ceremonial dancing that symbolises the still untamed, ferocious elements in tribal Various views of the dancers including some good C, Us of their faces. The men chant as they dance. C, Us of their feet. This is a dance reserved by the Acholi (sp ) tribe for special occasions. C, U of man playing a pipe instrument and others playing drums. C, U of a mother and child watching the display. The dancers advance. All dancing is thought to originate in these ritual movements the savage, yet patterned rhythms of the jungle drum beat observes the narrator over shots of the continuing dance.
