Dixie Ann Barnes Whispering Wind (1962)

Dixie played Cookie Bumstead on the 1957 Blondie TV series. She had bit roles in other shows of the time such as Leave It To Beaver and My Three Sons. During April in the year she recorded this song, she was crowned Princess of Hollywood by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. However, she had a very difficult childhood with abusive parents and a rough life, and part of her sad story is told by her friend Paul Petersen (the former star of The Donna Reed Show ) on this link: The picture I used for this video is of Dixie.
