First Eastern Screech Owlet to Leave the Nest Box Florida 5, 8, 2013

The eldest owlet of the 2013 season made the big plunge early this morning. Was lucky to find her in a nearby tree she was making noise and the mother was nearby she was too noisy and exposed. Listen carefully at the 0:59 mark and you will hear the mother softly calling. Fortunately the mother called her to safety danger lurks everywhere, but she looks quite healthy and surprisingly large.
