Arizona (Melville Gideon) The Metropolitan Orchestra Conducted by Arthur Crudge Recorded by The Gramophone Company, London, 28 August, 1917 This Issue: 12 English HMV Matrix HO2851 Composed by American Melville Gideon in 1916, Arizona was written for the London musical revue show Hello Everybody. (And J. C. Williamson s corresponding show in Australia) The music here is arranged by Herman Darewski and played by another of the Gramophone Company s studio orchestra s directed by Arthur Crudge, one of its musical directors of the time. Recorded and processed from an original vintage 78 by myself.
