Boxer Dog v. s. Mother Bear: Stand off

On a jog up to Crystal Falls in Coquitlam B. C, Canada my Boxer dog and I came across a bear and 2 cubs. This was right by the falls. Behind me was a dead end, in front was a Mom bear and her two cubs, and the only way out. Got out alive, win for me :) The bear made 2 bluff charges one toward my dog which I found interesting as my boxer got meters away before the bear moved towards him making me ponder. . what is greater strength or agility 2nd was toward us both near the end, but it is clear the bear was f br, br,
