Her patients will tell you many stories of her providing personalized care, no matter the circumstances. In one instance, worried about the mental and physical health of a patient recently widowed and living alone and isolated, Donna checked in on him and found that he needed to go to hospital. The patient says he would not be alive today if it were not for her actions. On another occasion, while at home recovering from an operation, Donna continued to check up on a patient who was in hospital, staying in contact with the patient to offer words of support and encouragement, even while recovering from surgery herself
