Lalan is a pioneering 20th century Chinese female artist who championed the art form known as integrated arts, masterfully infusing dance, music and painting into her oeuvres. Extended Figure: The Art and Inspiration of Lalan is the first major retrospective of Lalan, held to commemorate her centennial in 2021. It features over 30 masterpieces and archival materials, 30 of which are on public display at an arts and cultural institution for the first time.
