Why I stopped giving money to charity, James Deakin, TEDx Diliman

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. James Deakin is a Filipino born to a Filipina and a British man. He spent grew up in the Philippines, before leaving at age 14 to migrate to Australia. He came back 12 years, became a DJ, drank a lot of beer; and eventually joined a group of guys to set up a car enthusiast magazine, which led to a gig hosting a TV show called Auto Extreme in 2002; and then a weekly column in the Philippine STARs motoring section.
