Kayakers rescue man swimming above Great Falls

This is by far the stupidest thing I ve seen in my kayaking career so far. As we were paddling down Fish Ladder on Great Falls of the Potomac on a beautiful July 4th, we spotted a women holding onto a man who was in the current above a class 5 section of whitewater. This section is especially dangerous due to very fast moving water combined with swallow rocks and some rebar. Luckily I decided to take my throw rope with me this morning. What followed the rescue was what the man would ve been swimming down. P
