Auroville Residents Protest Contentious Crown Project

A section of residents at Auroville in Puducherry are protesting the construction of a 4 km long circular road for the Crown Project as it cuts through a forest area and the Youth Centre according to the present plan. They also raised concerns as it impacts environmentally sensitive pockets. The administration however says it would go ahead with the master plan the Founder Mother had approved.
