Jessica Chastain returns to Broadway

Jessica Chastain returns to Broadway in a new adaptation of A Dolls House, the first time the Oscarwinning actor has been on the stage in roughly 10 years. STORY: It s my first love. It s where I started. My dream was to be a part of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. And my life, of course, it s taken another beautiful ride and dream. But, but this is I ve actually mourned the theater quite a bit in the last decade. And so, he s (director, Jamie Lloyd) brought me back. The nearly century old play centers around a married woman who struggles for equal opportunities and an enjoyable life in a mans world. The Oscar winner said the themes of the story are sadly still relevant and hopes audience members examine themselves after seeing the play. The show is playing at the Hudson Theater.
