HELD is the latest dance theatre production from the Berlin choreographic duo Melanie Lane and Morgan Belenguer. After last years successful season of RIDDLE, this new work HELD sees a collaboration of fierce physicality together with video from film maker Timo Schierhorn and original music composed by Chris Clark (Warp Records, UK). HELD explores the connection between memories and the architecture of ones living space. It delves into the history of ones living space through a physicality that fuses and collaborates with hard, textural objects such as wood and stone. The dancers move through an everchanging environment that deconstructs and rebuilds itself, revisiting an emotional landscape ranging from brutal aggression to quiet sentiment.
