This is a short film I wrote and directed. Matthew is an Englishman going to the farm with his Afrikaans girlfriend, Charlene, to ask her father, Piets, permission to marry her. Unfortunately, Piet already has Charlenes exboyfriend, Gert, in mind for her and the only way to decide who gets the girl is to engage in an ancient family duel called the Dubbeldoringsfonteinuitdaging. This is an absurd Afrikaans comedy with good helpings of sheep, mud, and pig swill. So it s like District 9. .. b
