Tonynominated for her Broadway debut last spring in Born Yesterday, Nina Arianda returns to the role that first brought her acclaim Vanda, a struggling actress in David Ives twohander Venus in This sexuallycharged comedy pits Vanda against Thomas (Hugh Dancy), an author and director who auditions Vanda for a role in his newest work, a play based on an 1870s novel by German author Leopold von SacherMasoch, for whom masochism is named. The darkly erotic scenarios of the audition cause the seemingly naïve actress to ultimately gain total dominance over the director.
