Greece: Refugee doll procession in Athens interrupted as protesters confront police
Subscribe to our channel Dozens of farright nationalists gathered in central Athens on Friday to protest against the planned procession of Little Amal, a 3. 5metertall doll symbolising the plight of refugees and their children. Police intervened to separate rival groups of demonstrators as nationalists were met by a few Antifa counterprotesters. Despite the interruption, the procession reportedly managed to take place in other areas of the city. Little Amal, made by a young Syrian refugee, is currently on a journey through Europe. It is set to travel to Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and finally the UK.
