Safe haven for homeless concerns nearby neighbors

A resident at Palm Harbor Homes expresses concern about a newly approved fiveacre stateowned site on South U. S. 183 south of Montopolis Drive. Gov. Greg Abbott announced in November that homeless individuals could use the land until a new shelter is built. Some individuals who moved into the site said they feel safe with state troopers monitoring the site 24 hours a day.
