Tory MP with amputated hands and feet breaks House of Commons rules on return to politics
Craig Mackinlay jokingly says he broke House of Commons rules, including encouraging clapping, as he was welcomed back to the chamber with a standing ovation, following an eight month absence after having hands and feet amputated, due to Sepsis. The Tory MP thanked the speaker of the house and prime minister for thier support throughout his health journey. Mackinlay went on to ask, Can we please ensure that we embed recognition of early signs of sepsis If we can stop someone to end up like this that would be a job well done.
