Travel : Trip 100 : Antarctic Expedition Drake Passage Storm Huge wave hits ship at 1 min 5 secs

Movie recorded on an Expedition Cruise to the Antarctic Circle, February, March 2011. On Sunday 6th March we were sailing through the Drake Passage back to mainland Argentina on our ship, the MS Expedition, when a big storm blew up. The Captain reported it was a Force 12, with gusts of wind upto 70 Knots and 3040ft waves, swell. Certainly a lovely and exciting crossing, and totally living upto the name Drake Shake, when storms like this happen on this stretch of water.
