The concert The Magic of Carmen was performed by the Perpetuum Mobile Chamber Orchestra on 23 November 2010 on the occasion of the 75th birthday of the orchestra s founder and musical director, Professor Georgiy Pavliy. The programme consisted of P. Sarasate s Fantasy on Themes from Carmen, F. Waxman s Carmen Fantasie, F. Drdla s Fantasia on Carmen (soloists Lidia Futorska, Oksana Hretchyn and Kateryna Poteriaeva, all former students of Professor Pavliy) and R. Shchedrin s Carmen Suite
