A Corking Story (1930)
Story about making cork from tree bark. M, S of man standing by a stack of wood inside a workroom. He is sorting the pieces of bark. The bark is steamed to soften it. A man opens a vat with steam pouring from it and takes out the bark. The bark is fed through a cutting machine. Holes are then punched in the pieces. C, U of the machine as it punches holes. The corks are put into a machine which tapers the edges. A suction tube picks up the shavings from a machine. Two women sit by a conveyor belt as the corks move along.
