Aubrey Plaza Premieres Her Latest Film, My Old Ass, at Sundance
39yearold Aubrey Plaza (White Lotus, Parks and Recreation, Dirty Grandpa) goes back in time in her latest film, My Old Ass, which premiered at Sundance last night. Actually, she goes forward in time, showing up as the older version of Elliott, played by Maisy Stella (Nashville). The allinone teenage love story, contemporary comedy, and quirky riff on time travel followsbrightyetirreverent Elliottthe summer before college as she comes facetoface with her older self during a mushroom trip. The encounter spurs a funny and heartfelt journey of selfdiscovery and first love as she prepares to leave her childhood home. Writerdirector Megan Park uses the highconcept premise of a visit from ones future self to launch a refreshing take on the uncertainties of young romance and coming of age. Maddie Ziegler and Kerrice Brooks also star in the film.
