This live recording took place in the Usher Hall, Edinburgh in 1987 during the Edinburgh Festival. The conductor was Alexander Lazarev. I was present with members of Dorset Youth Orchestra and it turned out to be an occasion not to be missed. This is very much oldschool Soviet playing.
