PROXXON Precision Lathe PD 250, E Unboxing and First Impressions
Precision Lathe being marketing talk here for a nice Micro Lathe Complete description, time index and links below I was in need of a lathe for small parts (20mm Ø by 30mm, see link below) that I could relatively easily carry around. In addition I wanted it to be working just fine out of the box and not to be a project in itself. The carrying around part and my requirement for it to be working out of the box excluded the usual Chinese suspects (to heavy, too much work to make it work). So I ended up with a PROXXON Precision Lathe PD 250, E made in Germany. 00:00 Intro I couldnt get a used one, so I bought new one 00:51 Box some pictures, some info, nothing exiting 02:27 Opening lathe, paperwork and lots of parts 07:37 Assembly: Chuck tight fit, attached with three screws 12:37 Assembly: Live center MK1 taper, easy to remove 13:35 Assembly: Chuck guard one screw with washer 14:32 Asse
